Our Prints & Frames

From our archive to your walls

Field & Folio is the creative imprint of Antique Print Market, drawing on years of sourcing, handling and selling antique prints and book plates.

Through that work, we have built our own scanned archive of historic printed material: botanical illustrations, natural-history studies, birds, marine life and the remarkable illustrated pages of old books.

Field & Folio gives that archive a new life. Using our own scans as the starting point, we remaster and reimagine historic imagery as decorative prints for modern homes.

Historic artwork, thoughtfully reimagined

Our work begins with the source material and an appreciation of what makes it special—the detail of an engraving, the character of a lithograph, the colour and composition of a botanical plate.

We carefully prepare these scans for contemporary display. Depending on the design, this can include cleaning the image, balancing tones and refining its composition, borders or background.

The result is a remastered decorative edition that retains the character of its historic source while offering a considered presentation for today’s interiors.

These are newly produced prints derived from our archive, not original antique sheets. Their presentation may differ from the original book plate as part of the remastering and design process.

Paper and finish

Paper is part of how an artwork looks and feels. Our matte-paper options offer a low-sheen finish that complements the detail and character of vintage illustration.

Paper type, weight and finish vary across the collection. The individual product description provides the specification for your chosen print.

Framed and unframed options

Choose an unframed print if you would like to select your own frame, or explore our framed listings for a coordinated finish.

A frame is included only when the product is specifically sold as framed. Frames and accessories in styled room photographs are not automatically included.

Available frame colours, materials and assembly options depend on the product. Please check your chosen listing for what is included and whether it arrives assembled and ready to hang.

Finding the right size

Our prints work as individual pieces or as part of a gallery wall, combining subjects, colours and formats to create a collection that feels personal.

Use the dimensions in the product options when choosing your size. Room photographs offer styling inspiration; the listed measurements are the best guide to how a print will fit your space.

Borders and artwork proportions vary by design, and the outside dimensions of a framed piece may be larger than the print itself.

Printed especially for you

Each print is produced to order through our specialist production partners. Wherever possible, production takes place close to the delivery destination.

Packaging is selected to suit the product and size, helping protect your artwork in transit. Items within an order may arrive separately.

Please see our shipping information for production and delivery details.

Enjoying your artwork

Colours may appear slightly different on screen and in print because of display settings, paper and lighting.

Handle unframed prints by their edges with clean, dry hands. Display artwork away from prolonged direct sunlight, damp conditions and direct heat.
